You are making Tabdi’ on this One and that One, are you making Tabdi’ on the Best of Salafyeen!?
Shaykh Rabee to the audience: “Look here brothers! This brother is sick (i.e. a brother in the audience), whatever he attributes to me, it’s a lie and falsehood. I don’t trust him and I don’t allow him to forward a single word from me. Never! Whatever he forwards from me about different individuals, and especially Tabdi’, then I have nothing to do with what he says! Barak Allahu fik.”
The Shaykh now addressing the student directly: “Behave yourself, boy! If you are to seek knowledge then you should first go to the hospital and let them treat you, then come back here. But that you should be sick and forward things from us and destroy the da’wah? Itaqillah (Fear Allah!). It’s a destruction, fear Allah! Thereafter you make Tabdi on Salafyeen and accuse them of innovations, fear Allah my brother!”
Student: “Who?”
Shaykh: “You! You are making Tabdi’ on this one and that one, are you making tabdi’ on the best of Salafyeen?”
Student (accusing another student): “He is an ikhwaani, O Shaykh!”
Shaykh: “Ikhwaani? Who confirms you? Do al-Ikhwaan sit in my lectures?”
Student: “You don’t know them.”
Shaykh: “No no, they are not al-Ikhwaan, you are the Ikhwaani!”
Student: “You don’t know them.”
Shaykh: “You are an Ikhwaani! There’s no chance they are al-Ikhwaan!”
Student: “They do not make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd…”
Shaykh: “Neither do I!”
Student: “Ha?”
Shaykh: “Neither do I make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd! Are you an innovator if you don’t make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd? Is this the manhaj of the Salaf?”
Student: “You can begin by reading your own book.”
Shaykh: “Stop it, my son!
Student: “Don’t you make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd?”
Shaykh: “Don’t make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd or anybody else! Your speech is not accepted!”
Student: “Have you heard him repent O Shaykh?”
Shaykh: “Fear Allah!”
Student: “Have you heard him repent O Shaykh?”
Shaykh: “I do not make Tabdee’ on him! He made a mistake...”
Student: “Ha?”
Shaykh: “I do not make Tabdee’ on him! He made a mistake... maybe he changed himself.”
The shaykh cuts the conversation of, and the lesson is continued. However, the shaykh suddenly directs a few words to his audience, saying: “You are all available now, if you hear some backbiting, then he is a liar. Do you understand? All of you shall forward it from me! The one who forwards from me that I make Tabdee’ on Bakr Abu Zayd, he is a liar! I am the one who had an argument with him, I refuted him and made the truth clear without making Tabdee’ on him! They wanted that I should do Tabdee’ on Safar (al-Hawali) and Salman (al-Oudah), I refused. Let the scholars judge. In that time, great scholars were present such as Ibn Baaz and Ibn ‘Uthaymeen. Out of respect for the scholars, I said that they should judge. This maniac (the student) goes around and making Tabdee’ on people in the name of Salafiyyah. Thereafter he says that I speak bad about ash-Shuraym. I swear by Allah that he is a liar. He hasn’t heard a word from me about ash-Shuraym, as-Sudays or anybody else.”
Again, the lesson is continued, but the shaykh wants to add a few words: “Some people hurt the name of the Da’wah of Salafiyyah. They destroy the call of Salafiyyah. They neither speak with knowledge, behaviour or anything else. They just babble and babble so that the enemy wins.”
The rest is inaudible.
