What is the way out of these fitan (tribulations)?
Question:
"Dear eminent father! What is the way out of these fitan (tribulations)? May Allah bless you."
Answer:
"The way out of them is the Book of Allah, as the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) has informed regarding that: "In it is news about those who came before us, judgement for what is between us and information about what will take place after us."[1]
So therefore the way out of them (these tribulations) is Allah's Book. Meaning: It clarifies to the Muslims the obligation of every Muslim towards his Muslim brothers and that the believer loves for his brothers what he loves for himself and that he dislikes for them what he dislikes for himself. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) says (in the Hadeeth): "All of the Muslim is inviolable for his Muslim brother, his blood, his wealth and his honor."[2]
[1] The Shaykh, may Allah preserve him, alludes to what At-Tirmidhi narrated from the Hadeeth of 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, with the number 2906.
[2] Narrated by Muslim with the number 2564 from the Hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him.
