The pause after Al-Fatihah
Question:
"He says: Oh virtuous Shaykh, may Allah grant you success! Is there a pause after Al-Fatihah, so that those who are led in prayer are able to recite Al-Fatihah?"
Answer:
"Some of the scholars have approved it. What is established from the Messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم), as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him) mentioned, are two pauses.
One pause after the Takbirat Al-Ihram (The opening takbir for commencing Salah by uttering "Allahu-Akbar") in which he does the opening invocation. And one pause after completing the recitation and before the Ruku' (bowing position) in order that he may regain his breath.
And as for the pause which is after the recitation of Al-Fatihah; then there is no proof for it. But some of the scholars have approved it for the purpose of enabling the Ma'mum (the person led in prayer) with the recitation of Al-Fatihah. Yes."

السكتة بعد الفاتحة
السؤال: يقول فضيلة الشيخ وفقكم الله هل هناك سكتة بعد الفاتحة لكي يقرأ المأمومون الفاتحة؟
الجواب: إستحسنها بعض العلماء
الثابت عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم كما قال بن القيم رحمه الله سكتتان
سكتة بعد تكبيرة الإحرام التي يؤدي فيها الإستفتاح وسكتة بعد الفراغ من القراءة وقبل الركوع لأجل أن يرجع إليه نفسه
وأما السكتة التي بعد قراءة الفاتحة فهذه لا دليل عليها ولكن إستحسنها بعض العلماء من أجل تمكين المأموم من قراءة الفاتحة. نعم
