Some People will ask a Scholar a General Question and then use it on a Specific Person and say that He intended Him
"Some of the brothers, may Allaah excuse them, when they have something of desires (hawa) with regards to a person, or if they have hate towards a student of knowledge or one of the scholars; they will ask you a question that you answer, then they will use it on that person and state that you intended him. So they will say “So-and-so said this about so-and-so”, and you didn’t say anything about this person or that person. You only answered a question!
They use it on someone then say that he intended so and so or this group of so and so, they will dub it on tapes or write it in books, because so and so said this about so and so and he answered like this. Their intent with this is to spread corruption between the people and bickering between the students of knowledge and having enmity between the students of knowledge. We warn you from this and advise against this trait and not be deceived by this. Beware of this with severe caution. Yes."
