Shaykh Saalih bin Ghaanim as-Sadlaan
His Name and Birth:
He is the noble shaikh, Saalih bin Ghaanim bin ‘Abdillaah as-Sadlaan. He was born in the city of Buraydah in the district of Qaseem in 1362H. His Search for Knowledge:
He memorized the noble Qur’aan at the hands of his father. Then he joined a school for the memorization of the Qur’aan in Riyadh. Later, he signed up with the educational institutes of middle and secondary level of the Imaam Muhammad bin Su’ood Islamic University in Riyadh, graduating from there in 1381H.
In 1386H, he received his “License” in Sharee’ah from the Imaam Muhammad bin Su’ood Islamic University. He continued his studies and obtained his Masters Degree in 1391 specializing in the field of Comparative Fiqh. Then in 1403H, he obtained his Doctorate’s Degree in the subject of Comparative Fiqh.
His Teachers:
1. His father, Ghaanim bin ‘Abdillaah as-Sadlaan, whom he studied Creed, the Laws of Inheritance, Hadeeth and Fiqh under.
2. The great scholar, Shaikh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem Aali Shaikh. He completed his studies with him on the subjects of ‘Aqeedah, Hadeeth and Fiqh.
3. Shaikh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez bin Baaz, whom he studied ‘Aqeedah and Fiqh under.
4. Shaikh Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeetee, under whom he studied Usool and Tafseer.
5. Shaikh ‘Abdur-Razaaq Al-‘Afeefee Al-Misree, under whom he studied Tafseer, Hadeeth and Usool.

His Duties:
In 1386H, he began teaching for the Ministry of Education.
In 1395H, he was given the position of lecturer for the College of Sharee’ah.
In the College of Sharee’ah, he ascended from Assistant Professor to Co-Professor to the Professor of the Fiqh Department.
He oversaw and managed a large number of students in their thesis preparation for graduating.
The Shaikh participated in resisting the chaotic Takfeer movement, authoring several books on that as well as writing introductions for books on this subject. We all know the danger of this movement around the world.
He has a strong presence in the various channels of conveying knowledge through calling to Allaah and teaching the people.
He has taken strong and clear positions like the senior scholars of the lands of Tawheed in Saudi Arabia on the current events that have disturbed the Muslim ummah.

His Current Position:
The Shaikh currently works as a Professor for the Advanced Studies section of the Fiqh Department in the Imaam Muhammad bin Su’ood University of Riyadh.
