Regarding the statement that whoever speaks about excuse for ignorance is a concealed Haddaadee
Questioner:
"May Allah bless you (O Shaykh), here is some speech from Shaykh Rabee', he says that the one who speaks about this issue (i.e. the excuse for ignorance[1]) is a concealed Haddaadee. Is this correct O Shaykh, because [...speech unclear] the religion of Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him) and we defend it, may Allah bless you Shaykh, is this correct?"
Shaykh Saalih Al-Luhaydaan, may Allah preserve him:
"No my brother, anyone's speech can be accepted or rejected. Rabee' (Ibn) Haadee Al-Madkhalee is a man who is good and who has goodness within him, however the speech of anyone of us is not the speech of an infallible prophet. He makes Ijtihaad (juristic efforts to infer expert legal rulings) and intends good, and can be right or wrong."
Questioner:
"Yes Shaykh, may Allah bless you, shall we deal with these brothers in a brotherly manner?"
Shaykh Saalih Al-Luhaydaan, may Allah preserve him:
"Be gentle with them, say (to them): "O brothers, repent!"
When the Mushrik repents, then that is of benefit for him. And (as for) the one (in the Hadeeth) who caused himself to be consumed by the fire[2], he did not set himself ablaze except due to being certain of the punishment (in the Hereafter), if Allah would not be gracious to him."
The questioner:
"Yes Shaykh"
Shaykh Saalih Al-Luhaydaan, may Allah preserve him:
"Hayyaakumullah"
The Questioner:
"May Allah bless You, Hayyaakumullah"

[2] On the authority of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There was a man among the people who lived before you who expected no good (in the Hereafter) because of his deeds. Therefore, he said to his family, "When I die, take me, burn me and throw my ashes into the sea on a windy day.'' They did accordingly, but Allah collected his particles and asked (him), "What made you do what you did?" He replied, "The only thing that made me do it was my fear of You." Thus, Allah forgave him."
