Prostration on seven parts of the body
From Ibn Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that he said: "The Messenger of Allah, may the peace and blessings be upon him said:
"I've been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: the forehead..." - and he pointed towards his nose - "...both hands, knees and the edges of the feet (i.e. the toes)." [Agreed upon: Bukhari and Muslim]
If he lifts one of these seven intentionally from the beginning to the end of the sujood (prostration), his prayer is not valid. And if he does it out of ignorance or forgetfulness; he performs the prostration and what comes after it, if he did not yet move on to another rakat. Otherwise he performs another rakat after the salaam.
However if he lifts a body part during the prostration and then puts it back in his prostration before raising up; his prayer and prostration are valid.
