One's own wellbeing is a desired matter
Benefit: One's own wellbeing is a desired matter. Even Allah says to the messenger, may the peace and blessings be upon him:
{It may be that you (O Muhammad, sallAllahu 'alayhi wasallam) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]. If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility.} [Surah Ash-Shu'ara 26:3-4]
And He the Mighty and Majestic says:
{...so let not your chest be narrow...} [Surah Al-A'raf 7:2]
And there are many other verses. And the reality is that the individual who busies himself with the peoples' faults will become tired. But rather busy yourself with your own faults and purify yourself from them to the best of the ability and take care of your ownself.
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him
