Is it legislated for the Imām to wait in his rukū' for people entering the masjid to join him?
Question:
"Virtuous Shaykh, may Allāh grant you success, this questioner says: "Is it legislated for the Imām to wait in his rukū' (bowing) for the one who enters the masjid until he joins him?"
Answer:
"Oh yes, the Prophet, may Allāh send peace and blessings upon him, used to when he bowed not raise his head until he did not hear any footfall; he would wait for those who entered. Yes."
