Is he considered as having caught the Friday prayer?
Question:
"As for the one who comes on Friday and the Imam is in the first rakah, is he considered as having caught the Friday-prayer?"
Answer:
"Yes, even (if it is) the second rakah. If he comes before the Imam raises his head (from Ruku'; the bowing position); he joines the Imam while he (the Imam) hasn't raised his head from the second rakah yet, then he has caught the Jumuah (Friday) -prayer. He then adds another rakah after the Salaam. That is considered as Friday-prayer."
