السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear respected brothers and sisters. We hereby would like to thank all our readers for your continued support. We feel honored and blessed with your readership, and appreciate the many positive comments and compliments we have received via email and other means.
JazaakumAllahu khayran!
With regard to the topic of this message (i.e. copyright), we would like to say the following:
You might have noticed that our website never had any copyright notice. We simply assumed that everyone would apply the usual copyright etiquettes, without us specifically stating them on our website.
On the authority of Abu Hamzah Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"None of you will truly believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself." [Related by Bukharee & Muslim]
We have unfortunately on many occasions, come across our translations on various websites, fora and social media, whereby either the source (salafi-dawah.com) was not mentioned, or worse; the person republishing our material passed it off as his/her own work.
Allah, the Most High, says in the Noble Qur’an:
{Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah.} [Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:2]
So therefore we would kindly like to make clear that Salafi-Dawah.com holds the copyright to all translations on our website marked as Translated by Salafi-Dawah.com or Translated by 'Abdurrahīm Ibn Muhammad Al-Hadhramī. Furthermore, it should be noted that our website contains some reposts from other websites such as Alifta.net, and it goes without saying that these websites hold their own copyright respectively.
Regarding our materials: You may repost them on your website, make videos, print them off and spread them. Anyone may use and spread our translations, transcriptions, audio files and images, as they please. However, we kindly ask you to observe the following:
Allah, Glorified is He, mentions that the believers are:
{Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants;} [Surah Al-Mu'minoon 23:8]
May Allah give us all tawfeeq to do that what He loves and is pleased with!
