Unless You turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and be one of the ignorants
{Unless You turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and be one (of those who commit sin and deserve blame or those who do deeds) of the ignorants.} [Surah Yusuf 12:33]
{Unless You turn away their (the women's) plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them} Meaning: I will feel inclined towards them, for I am indeed weak and powerless, if You don't turn away the evil from me {I will be} if I incline towards them; {one of the ignorants} because it is ignorance, since it is preferring a short and temporary pleasure over continuous pleasures and all various types of desires in the Gardens of Bliss. So the one who prefers that over this, who can be more ignorant than him?! Hence, verily knowledge and intellect necessitate giving precedence to the greater of the two benefits and the greater of the two pleasures and prefer that which has a praiseworthy outcome.
